DCAC sponsored a fabulous event called The Artful Table. Groups of DCAC members, civic organizations and local businesses participated in creating imaginative and tasteful tablescapes. The Tablescapes were judged as a People’s Choice Award where attendees vote for the best table. The Arts Council sold tickets to attend the luncheon event. Over 90 ladies attended the luncheon.
During the luncheon we were entertained by a portion of the Junior Theater production of School House Rock. The JFT is our competitive team of performers that we send to represent us in national competition.
Corporate division of Tablescapes included Lakota Cove, Design Finds, Kathy Fuller of KC Fuller and Associates and Carla Bouton of Sate Farm Insurance, and Ric Rac Thrift Store. Design Finds won the Corporate Division.
Civic Club and Individual Categories included the Following:
The Woman’s Club with Steel Magnolia’s, (2nd Place), Gold Creek Ladies with “A Christmas Past”, Gold Creek Book Club with “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”, and Designer Jackie Somerville created 3 other tables called “Apple a Day”, “Thar’s Gold in Them Hills”, and winner “Woman’s Work”
