On December 9th, the Heart in Hand Quilt Guild drew a winner for its Annual Quilt Raffle to benefit the BOWEN Center for the Arts. At the beginning of every year, the Guild prepares a quilt at the Bowen, then sells tickets for the raffle until the drawing in December. Their efforts support programs for children and art at the BOWEN throughout the year. This year, Gainesville resident and artist, Dorothy Davis, was shocked when she got the phone call while on vacation at the Greenbrier in West Virginia. For $5 worth of tickets, she became one of the luckiest persons in North Georgia!
