Above is Lauren Mohundro and Mr. Lain Zhen. Lauren is the President of the Georgia Watercolor Society and Mr. Zhen is the World famous Instructor for the workshop.
Below Is Rosie Coleman (left) and Kie Johnson (right), both integral in setting up and planning the workshop. (Kie is also a member of the DCAC at the Bowen Center for the Arts.)
This workshop had 25 spaces which filled very early with artists from all over the southeast but includes also some outstanding artists from the Dawson County area as well. After the first day of the workshop, the artists were very pleased with the instruction and the individual attention from the instructor as well.
On Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10:00 A.M., Mr. Zhen will present a demonstration for the public. This will be a chance to see his unusual and unique techniques. The reception for the artists is at 11:30. The awards for this outstanding show will be at 12:30.

Jackie Scarborough from Jackie’s Kitchen brought in muffins and lunches daily for the artists.
