On December 17, 2021, we announced our big $5,000.00 raffle winner – Bill Pitts of Dawsonville, GA! He was blowing leaves from his gutters when his wife shouted the news. He and his wife are extremely grateful to be chosen and will certainly enjoy a cheerful Holiday Season. He is pictured receiving his check from Board Treasurer, Jim Bailey.
For the official drawing, we had Dawsonville resident, Marcus Sewell currently Captain of the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division, pull the single ticket on the Bowen front steps. Present at this momentous event were Board Members, Jim Bailey, Board Treasurer, Tina Sant, Marcus Sewell drawing winner, Jim Eaton-Co-President, Brian Gould-2022 Treasurer, and Executive Director Ginny Greenwood. Erica Schmidt of the Dawson News was on hand to record the event.
Of course, all our raffle ticket buyers were winners. They showed their appreciation AND support to the Bowen Center for the Arts!
After a year of no fundraisers, we opened all our art and social events, and resumed classes for everyone. This raffle really helped the Bowen, not to mention a very happy ticket buyer!
Thank you to everyone who joined in this event in helping us get back on track, and bringing the arts back to the North Georgia community.
